To our Downers Grove Elected officials,

My name is Mike Hackbarth, and I live at 1121 Jefferson Ave.

I am unable to attend the meeting tonight, and want to convey my concerns with the Nelson Meadow project.

In regards to the parking situation, not only is my home going to have a street fed into my driveway, but my guests and I will be illegally parked, if we are in the street.

It is difficult to have bought a home on a cul-de-sac, knowing the neighbor (Mark Cronin) dealt with the village in order to assure when the property across the street was to be developed, it would remain a cul-de-sac. If these plans go through, our cul-de-sac will turn into an intersection, completely voiding the chance to park on the street by the Cronin’s and the Hackbarth’s.

I ask the village to honor the original deal it made with the Cronin Family, and keep Jefferson a dead end cul-de-sac. If there are safety concerns about a dead end street, making it a dead end street with a 90 degree turn at the end will only worsen those issues.
