Subject: Jefferson Avenue Curb and Gutter
Dave,
Concrete curb and gutter along the south side of the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue has multiple failures at the driveways, worsening over the past year. As a result, driveway paving behind the curb and gutter is failing.
I don't believe the Nelson Meadow subdivision plans contemplated replacing this curb and gutter, but it now seems inevitable. The only question is when.
Would you please look at the situation and advice what should be done. If reconstruction must wait until the construction of the north half of the street, what interim options are there for the residents?
Thanks!

John:
I looked at the curb yesterday and there are a few areas that should be replaced, especially near a few of the driveways. I would not suggest we do much until we know when the other work will be happening in your area. I would hate to fix these areas only to have them broken with the other work and have to have the work done twice. Thanks for pointing this out. We will work with the developer when they get started (whenever that will be) to get these areas fixed in conjunction with the rest of the work.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do.
