Subject: Silt Fence -- This Morning
Dave, I know that for the Village this is still just an annoyance, but for the neighborhood it continues to be a symbol of disrespect and dishonesty, as well as weak enforcement by the Village.
The Jefferson Avenue neighbors recognize the property owner's right to fence the property, applying for a Village permit and erecting a proper fence that conforms to code. This does not.
The property owner did patch up the fence at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and the Brookbank Road R.O.W. several weeks ago, but it has fallen into disrepair again, as the attached photographs illustrate. It is not being maintained according to code.
There has been no effort to enclose the whole property, and the former driveway entrance is still wide open. It is not meeting one of its stated objectives to exclude vehicles.
Certainly this fence is not protecting anybody from anything, it's just an eyesore.
At what point will this be CITED?
