Mr. Schofield,

  1. Neither the landscaping contractor nor the Village Forester expressed any concerns about the shade tolerancy of the proposed plantings. Please keep in mind that the plantings will be maintained by the future owner, who would be free to alter species and layout.
  2. The EAST embankment will only have landscaping at the south end, as shown on the landscape plan which you reviewed.
  3. No landscaping is planned for the inside of the detention basin at this time.
  4. No landscaping is planned for the face of the retaining wall. It will be constructed of precast concrete blocks (per current engineering plans).
  5. We will require stabilization either by sodding or seeding / blanketing.
  6. The drawings do not contain a construction schedule for final landscaping.
  7. Trees are generally planted after construction activity is complete in each area (to prevent tree damage). We do not have a specific schedule at this time but would plan to plant prior to occupancy of adjacent homes if weather permits.
